January 2018 Update
Housing
Deepest gratitude to all the kind and compassionate supporters, we are humble to announce that we have built a total of 194 homes for families living in poverty. These humble homes provide a great improvement in their quality of life. The homes are not just a shelter but a beacon of hope. We hope that these family find good health, peace, and happiness in their new homes.
The price of a home with basic supplies is $2,200
Scholarships
For our scholarship program, we are supporting 220 students which includes 1st grade to professional school. We so proud to announce that our higher education scholarship includes 4 medical students, 1 nursing students, 1 agriculture student, 1 english student, 1 tourism students, 1 music student, 2 engineering students, and 7 students in education. Education is truly a key for a brighter future. We would like to give our deepest gratitude to all who have supported, cared, and loved these precious children.

Deepest gratitude to the kind and compassionate friends and philanthropists who have care for these precious family. We would like to recognize the deep suffering of these family and to also recognize the deep compassion of the donors who loved these family. Here are the before and after picture of Sahaya Vietnam new model housing project. Each home only cost $2,200 to built.

A big THANK YOU to the the Ping and Amy Chao Family Foundation and to the Transparent Fish Fund for their continued generous support and friendship!
The Ping and Amy Chao Foundation awarded us a $15,000 grant. Of this award, $9,000 will be used to help 90 needy students who are part of our scholarship program. The remaining $6,000 will be used to construct 6 homes via our housing program. In addition, the Transparent Fish fund has given an extra $1585 for the housing program.
We are very grateful to both foundations for their continued support, which makes an incredible difference in our programs in Vietnam.

Our deepest gratitude to the Ping and Amy Chao Family Foundation and to the Transparent Fish Fund for their support and friendship! In addition to the $10,000 awarded at the beginning of 2014 to build 7 homes and a bridge, the Transparent Fish Fund has granted another $10,000 to Sahaya Vietnam to provide 10 additional homes. The grant award will be presented at the Sahaya Vietnam Charity Art Show this Sunday April 27th, 2014 from 2-6 pm at the Evergreen Community Center in San Jose CA. The grants will provide much needed financial resource to continue our humanitarian mission of providing shelter to the impoverished families and rebuilding of a damage bridge in Kien Giang, Vietnam. On behalf of the precious children and families in rural Vietnam, we would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to The Ping and Amy Chao Family Foundation and The Transparent Fish Fund for their kindness and generosity. The Chao Foundation $17,000 grant will be used to provide homes for seventeen families and $3,000 was used to help rebuild a broken and dangerous bridge for a whole village. Seven homes and the bridge have already been completed. In the following months Sahaya and Tfish will continue to provide 10 more homes for 10 precious families. We are a group of international volunteers, part of Sahaya International (USA), who give our free time to support 2 programs in Kien Giang that are run by the dedicated monks of the Buu Son Monastery,

Provision of scholarships and other support to needy children so they can continue their education.
By the end of July 2013, we have already built 33 homes, and 20 more homes are currently being constructed. We have also provided educational scholarships to 120 students!
